Sponsorship in reality
A donor who
sponsors an orphan in the Sudan came to our office in
Manchester, and was surprised to hear that sponsorship ended
when the orphan reaches the age of eighteen.

He told us that he had been
sponsoring the young girl in Sudan for the last ten years and
she was like a daughter to him. He wanted to continue helping
her and sponsored her university education. Not only did he
visit the girl when she got married, but he acted as the legal
guardian for her. He still continues to visit her when he
travels to Sudan.
