Human Appeal International Child Protection Policy:
Human Appeal International takes the protection of children
seriously and has guidelines in place to safeguard to
protect children against abuse and exploitation.
HAI follows and implements the general guidelines set at the
UN Convention on the Rights of a Child.
All children have equal rights to protection from abuse and
exploitation.
All children should be encouraged to fulfil their potential.
Everybody has a responsibility to support the care and
protection of children.
INGO’s have a duty of care to children with whom they work
and with whom their representatives work.
If agencies work through partners they have a
responsibility to meet minimum standards of protection for
the children in their partners’ programmes.
HAI has policies and structures in place, which will ensure
the above principles for the protection of children, are
met. We are certain you will agree this is necessary to
protect everyone involved in helping orphaned and needy
children around the world.
